Varicose Vein Treatment
Has Never Been Easier
Welcome to our practice and thank you for visiting Vein Specialists of the Carolinas. We are committed to providing our patients with state of the art treatment for every problem of the venous system.
Please plan to spend about an hour and half with us for your first visit. It is our goal to conduct a comprehensive review of your leg vein problem in order to determine the proper vein treatment for you at this initial consultation. To accomplish this we perform a complete venous leg ultrasound, we measure your legs for accurate fitting of compression garments, and take detailed digital images of your legs. Dr. Draughn reviews the results of the ultrasound with you and constructs a detailed treatment plan at this initial visit.

It is our desire for you to leave this visit with:
- A diagnosis that you can understand
- A treatment plan that is right for you
- A simple explanation of the benefits and risks of any procedures recommended
- All questions answered to your satisfaction

- Referral to another specialist, if your problem is not vein related

Treatment for some people is nothing more than a few injections for spider veins at their first visit.
For others with more significant venous problems, it is a slower step by step process.
Most patients will require several visits and others will require many.
For some, their problem requires lifelong management.
Although the venous system is very complex, and there are often multiple steps, all of the procedures are simple, safe, effective and performed in the office.
